 TABLES

Tables for everyday use - coffee, end, and sofa tables, etc.....

This is another area where design has no limits! So many angles to pursue - just let me know if you have an idea you would like me to try. I am aiming for many more designs like the first table, where the top is removable from the base for ease of transport, yet still solid enough to use as protection in case of earthquake or tornado...  ;-)

What I consider to be absolutley one of my most accomplished original designs, this one-of-a-kind pecan table is something I am extremely proud of - bookend (mirror image) pieces joined with 1/2" thick bow ties on top, and embedded 1"x12"x3/4" red oak supports below, mounted on a base with a shelf. A plant or lamp can be placed on the bottom shelf to protrude through the opening for a very nice effect. Finished with pure raw tung oil, this is truly a gorgeous work, and a steal at $1600. Look for many variations on this concept in the future.....

A real hunk of burning Texas love in this native mesquite table created from a massive 3" thick slab. The marked dimensions in the top photo enabled great communication between client and designer to come up with the perfect table for thier home, and a unique bowtie on the bottom was fun to put in though it is never seen...   ;-)   SOLD

An amazing trio of mesquite slabs - originally milled in 1980 then mixed with more recent wood to create a coffee table (top). end table (left), and sofa/entry table (right). Mesquite this massive and free of cracks and voids is truly rare, and the coffee and sofa slabs are from the same log. Each comes with a bottom shelf of 1" thick mesquite to create a very functional and unique design.
