Gibson Rockers and Natural Edge Woodworks are quality hand made hardwood items built to last for generations.

"Natural Edge", also called "Live Edge" or "slab", refers to the art of milling a tree trunk in complete slices of varying thcknesses, leaving the bark edge intact. The wood is then stacked and dried for 1 -3 years or even more before being made into a variety of items. These can be as simple as a slab table with legs attached to the bottom; however, I use a variety of joinery techniques such as miters, mortise and tenon, dove tail, boxtail, and anything else I an think of to add integrity as well as value to each project. Natural Edge tables are not uncommon; however, benches using complex joinery as you will see in this web site and full benches made from natural edge slabs are rarely seen. Although a table is a table and a bench is a bench, you will see that I have been able to add my own original concepts to create a body of truly original work.

Many items in the project pages are available for sale.I usually have a small amount of stockpiled slabs, and I also have access to a wide variety of outsourced wood that can be custom made to fit your needs.
